Hooker Street Force Headers
Hooker Street Force Headers
Has anyone ever heard of these before? Had any experience installing them? They are the only ceramic coated A.I.R. equipped headers I can find. I searched by number 2055 which I used a while ago to find hooker headers that look like this but I do not recognize the name. Only 2055's on summit are Non-AIR equipped and go by a different name, not street force.

hopefully that link works, if not just search jegs for 2055. they look similar to the comp and super comp headers on summit, which ive searched on here about and apparently they're easy to install. just not sure about these street forces, wanna make sure before I order 900$ worth.
ALSO.....i am unsure as to what exact engine is in my car. Someone swapped out the stock 87 heads at least and put in some 80-86 heads in it, with perimeter bolt valve covers. The headers say they fit 86-90, what problems would i encounter if it turns out i have any 80-85 heads.

Re: Hooker Street Force Headers
i know i was wondering why 2055 results in two different type of headers.
I was used to the 2055 bringing up super comp headers, which I was going to buy but then realized I needed A.I.R. so i did a search on 2055 on jegs and got street force headers which i've never heard of before.

I thought the super comp weren't shorties??
Anyway... the diverter valve that either injects air into the AIR tubes, the atmosphere or to a hose / then tube into the CAT... that tube, it's like $80... try and spare yours if you can...
Also, Not sure if you're running a V belt or Serpentine... anyway, mine had the Serp, there are spacers to use on some long bolts for the headers, they had brackets that went to alt and air compressor... If you don't use these to brace again, they can break (I was told) so I put them on too...
I used some percy soft aluminum gaskets and brelin header bolts... I used a fitted 3" clamp from y pipe to a new cat, so not to weld to the ceramic y pipe...

Re: Hooker Street Force Headers
the competition ones then, whichever are shorty, i haven't looked into these for a couple years.
i don't think i can use the AIR tubes that are on my car with the NON air equipped headers, because there is not place to attach them.
i'm running a v-belt. i know of at least one bolt that goes into the head for the alt

Hooker used to call the 2055's "Super Comp". They changed their p/n from 2055 to 2055HKR about a year ago, and started listing them as "Street Force" on their web site.
Same thing, different name, not all of the catalog companies have caught up.
