Header Flange Repair
All right, this may be an odd question, but here goes! Last September I wrecked my '84 Trans Am. Now I'm getting close to putting the '92 that's replacing it on the road. Problem is my SLP headers got slightly damaged in the accident. The driver's side just got a slight dent from the steering shaft in one of the primaries. The passenger side took the harder hit. One of the primaries is dimpled fairly well and the header leaked pretty badly after the accident. Question is, has anyone had any experience with "truing up" the header flanges on these headers? I'm thinking it may be possible since there are three individual flanges on these headers, rather than the single flange that most other headers have.
I don't know if a machine shop can fix the header, or if I should try bolting it up with new gaskets and cross my fingers. Any thoughts? I can snap some pictures of it if that would help?
Thanks in advance for the help!!

You might try calling your local machine shops and see what they say. They can mill a warped manifold flat, so maybe they can do it with a header, too.

Yeah, I was kind of figuring on that I guess. My only concern was whether or not they'd be able to do it the same as a manifold since it has the three individual flanges. I suppose it's really no different though. Thanks for the reply, any other thoughts are certainly welcome as well
