True Duals on a TPI
True Duals on a TPI
Hello, I am new here on the forums. Anyways I own an '87 Z28 camaro with a TPI 350 (originally a 305 TPI) and I am looking to replace my exhaust that just went with true duals from the manifold back. Preferrably Flowmasters, not enough investment to replace the manifold with headers yet, but that is for the near future. Any suggestions here on where to seek out my parts or any other advice with the situation? I have looked in so many online catalogs and can't seem to find anything for third generation regarding true duals, everything is either first or second gen, and the third gen stuff is all Y-Pipe single cat with dual outlet, which is what was on mine. Is this going to be complete custom?

yes it will be complet custom and most shops wont want to do it. but it can be done. This is a populer thread on most boards so just look around a little more. If you are going to do it, do it right the first time and get the headers. but if your like me get the high flow manifolds at least. I dont like to deal with blown manifold gaskets and mantince so i would understand but its up to you. this is a bassanie kit for an ls1 4th gen made to fit a 92 w long tubes

i believe there has been a few posts, you will need to do a search.it was about 2 years ago or so.
personally they should have put true duals on every V8 car that was intended to be a performance car!
this is my 96Z but thirdgens can do the same

Dual exhaust is one of the most talked about topics on this board. Here, its even one of the stickies at the top:
