I have a set of hooker shorties #2460 on my 92 camaro that I did an engine swap in but now the delima is a y pipe the only one I can find is thru summit or jegs for like $250..omg that is high...
My question is should I invest in a whole header y pipe combo or just buy the hooker...the headers are used and I got them for $75..I'm just having a hard time with it...Oh and the muffler shops round here will charge bout $200 to custom make a y-pipe...Am I screwed...

 

I have yet to be impressed by any 2460 purchase & installation. For this very reason.

Any "custom" y-pipe you have made either won't be mandrel bent, or will cost a king's ransom. Or both. The Hooker y-pipe for the 2460's only has a 2-1/2" pipe after the two sides join together (intended to replace everything from the ports to the cat-back inlet on LO3 applications - off-road only).

I'd rather pay $440 for Hooker 2055HKR's, even if the 2460's come free.

 

five7kid is right. But I have the 2460's. The way I fixed the y-pipe issue is that I sucked it up and bought it, but I had my exhaust shop cut the 2 1/2 pipe and stick on the full 3in to the rest of the exhaust. 2055 is a better deal ...
