I made a thread before but I didn't have enough info. I just built up the LG4 in my 87 trans am and had some questions about the exhaust. I was originally looking to run true duals on the car but have read that there is very little if any power bennefit plus the headache of custom work and loss of ground clearence. That being said I was hoping some people would have suggestions as to what I should run. When I bought the car Flowtech – 16102flt Headers came with it. I read a few bad reviews about these. Does anyone have any opinion on these headers, that is wheather i should keep them or what i should do wtih them? Outside of that I was also wondering if anyone had an opinion about the Y pipe cat, etc and rest of the exhaust. I really appreciate the help guys, this project has been taking forever and killing me.

 

i have similar questions as i just bought a car with edelbrock headers and y pipe and i was wondering if they would be sufficient for a 383? i was thinking of modifying the ypipe as i can tell the y pipe sucks. maybe just weld in a flowmaster Y and go 3" over the axle. would that choke my 383?
