dump exhaust undercar
I can't really find the pics that I am looking for. Does anyone have pics of exhaust that is dumped under the car with a turndown with an oval muffler, just single pipe in the stock location. How is the ground clearace for a regular oval muffler, like a universal summit muffler which I am thinking about running.

if they do inspections/visual insepections you cant do it. turn downs are basically illegal, with out a cat it also wont pass, but if u can run true duals with bullet mufflers u can def run a single in the stock location, for your v6 u would want a smaller diameter, like 2 1/4, the outer diameter is only like 3" i believe with a glass pack at that size so your would def have enough room, u could run it, but angle the turndown away towards the pass side at like a 45-60 degree angle (not pointing straight down)
i have dual 3" turndowns with xpipe on my TPI 350 soon to be HSR 383. im not running bullet mufflers tho, forces from summit, u would want a spiral flow/bullet muffler. and u can keep the cat !

Re: dump exhaust undercar
I actually had the idea of getting a 4th gen Z28 tip and using that as a side exit tip. I want low profile like a glasspack but they just sound like poo on a V6 and they are a little too loud for me. I have thought about running duals though, I probably won't though. 2 1/2" single pipe is where I will probably stay but I might be able to get a LTs and run short duals.

dont bother with the v6, single 2 1/4 would be best and a 2.5" is pushing it. duals would kill your power. u would have to find a good spiral muffler or something.

Re: dump exhaust undercar
These motors love 2.5" piping, duals are a thought but I will probably not do it. How are Borla universal turbo mufflers? As in how quiet and would they fit in the area of the tailshaft of the tranny? I need a muffler with a low profile , but quiet. I would like to get a turbo muffler, anyone know of one that is pretty small?
