Help with knock sensor fitting
I just put in my new headers. They are Doug's headers full length 1 3/4 primaries. Okay, now my problem has occured. My knock sensor is bangin against the headers. If i take out the knock sensor and replace it with a plug, the headers will fit. I really don't want to do this to the car because of the timing ordeal. I just want to know if there are any ways of beating this problem. Maybe if I take out the knock sensor then move the headers into place, maybe it will be able to get put back in? I know someone has had to have had this problem.
One last note. If i get the headers in and the knock sensor, will I have any interference from the headers? No right. I just saw someone saying that in another thread i searched.

Re: Help with knock sensor fitting
try putting the knock sensor on the other side of the engine theres a threaded in plug maybe on that side you'll have more clearance then just legthen your knock sensor wire is all

Re: Help with knock sensor fitting
I actually have more clearance on that side. I had practically no problems with the headers. They are a tight fit here and there, no biggie, but do plan on spending the weekend on it. I only had one minor/major issue. You will have to cut the lines from the oil cooler. It rubs right on it. not a good thing.
