i have shorty headers, a y pipe, a test pipe, and a 3" flowmaster cat back ready to install on my 86 camaro's stock lg4 4bbl 305. the headers are non a.i.r. do i have to worry about my car running poorly without the a.i.r.? do i just remove all the a.i.r. or are there some hoses i have to leave there and plug up??

Re: lg4 305 without a.i.r.??
Removing the AIR system will have minimal impact on the carb'd systems. With headers and cat removed there will be nothing left to remain connected. Be sure to place a small bolt in the mounting hole for the smog pump that penetrates the fuel pump rod bore to avoid the Sofakingdom leak.
The carb'd system only diverts air to the exhaust manifolds during warmup. Removing the system should not trip any codes.

A search of his name and 'smog pump' will hopefully turn up the bolt size. It needs to be short enough not to interfere with free movement of the pump rod. I'm on the way out or I'd look it up for you...

Photo is in the attached thread. You may have to dink around with some different size bolts to find one that fits properly.
