How do I keep my headers looking good?

I am putting a remanufactured L98 in my car, and I'm putting a set of Hooker 2055s on in the process. I got the 2055s with the hi-temp black paint instead of the ceramic coated ones.

Will these headers stay looking nice as long as I don't get them too hot for a while, or will they inevitably burn the paint off and rust?

Is there anything I can do to keep them looking nice?

unfortunately the only thing you can really do is keep painting them, or have them coated. I may get mine coated at some point, 200 bucks would be worth it imo.

The only way to keep the headers new looking is to install them and don't drive the car anymore. The paint is going to burn off and the coating is going to discolor. My SLP ss headers are buried so deep you can't see them anyways.

That black paint is not intended to do anything other than keep rust off them while in shipment to you. It will be gone within minuets of firing that new motor.
