Re: bullets
add high flow cats if u don't allready havem. also run those pipe over the rear axles. u have the same set-up i have except i have long tubes. my car is in the shop as we speek getting the rest of the pipes run over the axle. it will quiet it down some, but u might have to look into thin mufflers. spintec has mufflers that have like 2 or a 3" case. when i first started mine up i loved how loud it was,but knew i would be a cop magnet so full exhaust it is. hope this helps.

Re: bullets
hmm theres a difference between loud and sounding good the obvious answer is a different muffler if you remember my original post, but the question was looking for a muffler quieter than bullets(basically open headers) but sounds about the same. not bashing loud exhaust here just i think quality is more important than volume

i always thought the bullets sounded pretty mean, you might try flowmaster super 44 or some cherry bombs

Re: bullets
magnaflows are better, but they are staight through with packing around them.
the ultra's are chambered with packing around them they flow good allbeit not as good as the mags.but they will be quieter then the mags and still perform well.
since quiet and good flow is what u are looking for, the ultra's might be the way to go.

i should have a sound clip this weekend when i get my car back. quiet bullets is an oxy-moran. there is no such thing. they are loud and agressive. just like the slp loud mouth. who said that they were quiet?????
here is a sound clip that kinda sounds like mine but he has a cam. i do belive that it is a 305 too. this car belongs to a member on here, but i forget his name. it sounds awesome. but i like it loud.

Re: bullets
I have a TSP Rumler LS1 cat back on mine, with the bullet-style Magnaflow just after the cat, before the axle, but still rear exit tips...
Here's mine from inside...

And here's one with the camera setting on the parking curb next to my car...

Re: bullets
Yeah, it has a good rumble going down the road. When I let off I can still hear the cam.
When I WOT, its like open headers and loud. Just something you dont want to do in town or around a cop.
I wonder how much difference the same exhaust with 3" mufflers and pipe would sound?

3" would sound alot deeper and more throaty,i would think. might even have to have high flow cats or another set of bullets. that would sound fvkin awesome. again watch the cops. the boys around here are pretty cool when it comes to a loud exhaust. as long as u don't flaunt it in front of them it would be ok.

Re: bullets
I've done 3" true duals system with dynomax bullets and it's way too loud. Loud at idle, part throttle, wot, with car off just loud. Now with Magnaflows much better, mellow at idle/cruise godzilla at wot. Bigger pipes slow down the exhaust flow which gives it a deeper tone.
