Edlebrock header and y-pipe ?'s

i just got a set of headers and y-pipe, i ran the part # and it comes up as a 88-92 camaro/bird w/ 5.0L TBI. i have a 85 iroc with a tpi 357. am i going to run into any problesm when i go to install? also the C.A.R.B # is D-215-53 will i have problems passing smog due to the fact that this system is intended for a TBI car? i hope all will be well, i got a REALLY good deal on these. thanks -Art

The TBI headers are made for the TBI exhaust, which is small and restrictive. Those headers will be no better than stock manifolds and y-pipe on your car. Dump them.

Look up Dyno Don on this board and get a set of his headers.

Re: Edlebrock header and y-pipe ?'s

from what iv read, the only diff between edle's tbi and tpi tes system is the diameter of the y-pipe? i would love a set of dons deaders but 1) i cant afford them any time soon 2) every smog shop in my area said that they would fail the inspection due to "lack of C.A.R.B. tag" is that bullshit or what!
