Sound byte of the 3" Pypes Violator muffler

Here is the long awaited sound byte I had promised to post. I am new to the video thing but some how managed to upload it onto YouTube. Any way here it is. It is a 3" Pypes Violator muffler w/ single 3" tailpipe. This is not the best video but you can hear the car. In my opinion it sounds good at idle but revving it up it has a mean crackle to it which I don't like but that's the price you pay for trying to be different. I'll try to post a drive by in the next week or so. Anyway here it is:

Sounds like a mix between a straight pipe and a burned out glass pack, not saying that is a bad thing, best sounding exhaust i ever heard was a 327 58' vette with worn out old glasspacks.lol

Like I said I don't really like it. I think it sounds like exhaust manifolds w/ open pipes or glasspacks.

i can tell that the muffler it self wants to sound good, but the sound quality in that video is horrid. what is the rest of the exhaust comprised of. it kind of sounds like its being choked off or something.

try and find a friend that has a better camera. not trying to be mean, but it would help out more if we could hear it better.

it actually reminds of my dynomax bullets. good luck.

It's your basic Flowmaster 3" cat back w/ new Catco catalytic converter w/ the pypes muffler and a single 3" tailpipe. The car was cold. I shouls have warmed it up first. I took the video with my digital camera snd it was my first video I ever took so I'll try again once I get it back from getting worked on.

Try setting the camera out to the side, or back a bit. The exhaust blowing on the mic will cause the buffeting sound. Just a tip.
