Help! Installing aftermarket exhaust.

Ok so this is where Im at, I have all the stock exhaust removed except for the manifolds. I got the 4 front bolts off of the passenger side, and kinda took a break from trying to get them off of the drivers side, all of them seem to come out smoothly, but Im having trouble getting my powersteering pumpoff. The bolt used to adjust the tension of the belt, seems unreachable, I cant get a wrench or socket on it.

And further more, Im installing Hooker Headers (2460s),Hooker Y-pipe, and Jegs 3inch cat-back. Havent gotten a catalytic converter yet, any suggestions on installation, or where to get a cheap 3inch converter?

The power steering pump bolts/nuts are a weird mix of sizes. Are you talking about the one on the front, or the one on the back? I use a flex socket & extension to get to the one in back.

The y-pipe for the 2460's eliminates the cat. It's only 2-1/2" where the two banks join. In order to install a cat, you'll need to cut the pipe, and in order to install a 3" cat, you'll have to modify the "Y".

What application is your cat-back for? It may have a 3" pipe, but only 2-1/2" inlet.

The Catco 9118 is a direct-fit for the '86-'90 TPI single cat application. It's 3" inlet/outlet.

Re: Help! Installing aftermarket exhaust.

The cat back has 3 inch inlet, muffler with 3 inch inlet, 2 2.5in outlets. From what Im hearing I dont need a cat anymore due to recent emissions changes, so Ill try to pass w/out one, if they do emissions testing Ill just have to buy a cat, Im gonna try to work on it some more tomorrow, thanks for the tips.
