ive got an 84 trans am with the LG4. i am starting to believe the cat is getting clogged for the way the car acts during deceleration. so i figure if the cat gets replaced so does the exhaust. i have read a lot of people recommend a 3" exhaust system but is that too much exhaust for what little the LG4 even puts out?? i do plan on giving this car a little more power so im not getting smoked by a 16 second civic while im working on my other TA. so what exhaust system and cat would someone recommend??? thanks!!!

 

I don't think they make a smaller catback. I would highly recommend going with a 3 inch catback
