after installing headers on an 88 iroc 5.7 tpi; engine starts but will not run
Ok so the edlebrock headers are installed.
the car starts, but will not run.
the car cranks and fires but wont stay running.
*the starter motor was dissconnected to install the headers ( did i install the wires to the starter wrong?)
does anyone know about this problem of the 88 5.7 starting but wont run.
maybe theres a little something i need to connect?
3 days ago before the header swap, the car was turn key start and run.
now with headers on it cranks, fires and dies.
please help , ill be working on it all night and checking this board frequently. thanks.

I'm not sure but it sounds like it could be something to do with pressure, or the engine may need to be tuned now. Does it idle a little bit at least before it dies?

Installing headers is not going to throw the tune of so bad it won't start.
When I installed mine, it would start then die. I then realized I forgot to hookup some vacuum lines. Check and make sure they are still all connected. Also, checking the firing order isn't a bad idea as stated above.
