so heres the deal.i have a 79 camaro z28 that i recently got,and my 88 trans am that was originaly going to have the 550 hp motor i bought installed in.after careful consideration i decided to put the built motor in the camaro and take the motor in the camaro and put it in the trans am.now,i just bought a set of used headers for the camaro and they look like they would be a good fit since they're made for the gen,but will the trans am have enough room to hold them in there.is it pretty much the same clearance in the engine bays or are the tubular a arms going to interfer.both cars are powersteering and both came with a/c.i'd like to use these headers i have on the trans am because they do have one small dent in one of the runners, since the built motor is all port matched i'm gonna be getting new headers so it doesn't restrict any flow of the motor.any help would be appreciated.thanks in advance.

They're not going to fit without modification.

from what i know, the collectors need to be cut off and repositioned, i think they hit the tunnel/sudframe around the trans. I believe they clear the k member, probably not a slave cylinder or an oil cooler.
