Silent exhaust
I'm just wondering if anybody would know the best way to make the exhaust as quiet as possible. I really don't know what could be done besides multiple mufflers.

Re: Silent exhaust
I just did exhaust on my car, used hooker headers into the factory exhaust with factory muffler, it is pretty quiet.

Re: Silent exhaust
Check with your local muffler shop they should have some idea of what to do. I was wanting to make mine quiet when i put the twin turbos on then put exhaust cutouts to open it when i want to make it loud. Scare some racers at the intersection. Let em here it quiet then open her up.

Dynomax would probably be the quietest after stock. Then maybe the Aerochamber.

Re: Silent exhaust
Scary quiet exhaust is the Hooker Maximum flow muffler, it's single in, single out, and flows the same as open pipe.
If you can live with single in/single out, it's the way to go.
Without a cat it was as quiet as stock muffler with stock cat. With a cat, which i've never tired/heard is probably inaudible.

Re: Silent exhaust
you could go headers into y pipe, cat delete, and run a long glasspack to the axle, then do the hooker max flow.
i guess its not a good idea to ask, but why do you want it quiet

yeah I would imagine even a bullet in the i pipe would quiet it down substantially. Also remember that the more pipe you have after the muffler the quieter it is
