What exhaust is this?
I have been guessing at what exhaust system is on my 85 Z28 ever since I got it.
The guy who sold it to me said he "thinks" They're Flowmaster's. So I've narrowed it down to two guesses. Either Flowmaster 40's or stock. I really have not heard either in person before so It's kind of hard to make a judgement based on youtube videos.
I did not want to rev the engine past 2500 due to it being a cold start in 15F weather and also 1AM in a townhouse development.
The camera was sitting in the street behind the car while recording.

Honestly Bro, I don't know, but it sounds sweet!
PS, I hope you find out, I'd like to know. Oh, and it's not stock. Stockers were too quiet.

Not trying to be a smartass here, but have you considered looking under the car? Flowmaster (and most other aftermarket companies) are nice enough to slap a big 'ole name right across the thing.
For what it's worth, it's not stock, and actually sounds a little quiet for a 40 series.

Re: What exhaust is this?
Aaron, no offense taken. That Is actually the first thing I did. But there was no name or number stamped on any visible part of the muffler. I'm thinking its on the side that faces the gas tank.
Iroc, it does have dual tails, but the setup is not a true dual...yet.
In the summer I'm having a local shop do a custom exhaust job.

Re: What exhaust is this?
New video with warm engine.
Start up and rev to 4500RPM (Would have gone to 6000RPM but new engine is not fully broken in).
Think I might have had the camera a tad close to the pipes this time...

Re: What exhaust is this?
Sounds similar enough to either of mine and my dad's Camaros. His is an '85 350 (low compression truck motor w/tpi on top), and it has a flowmaster single 3" in dual 2.5" outs, I think. Mine is an '89 305 tpi, has a flowmaster single 3" in dual 3" out.
Granted, I have never listened to any other aftermarket or stock exhausts on thirdgens in person. Just sound clips online...
(Just for the record, I'm not a flowmaster fan boy or anything, just happened that both these Camaros had flowmasters on 'em when we bought them. Seems like a fairly popular muffler for these cars... I have actually been considering a chambered setup from classic chambered... I'll be saving that till I get the 6.0L in,
