new exhaust idea

Well last night I fell asleep pretty earlier. I had a dream about my future plans for my camaro for some reason. I have been trying to figure out a good way to run true duals on my camaro. I figured I would run some pipe off the headers, throw a nice muffler on there and then point them straight at the ground underneath the car, which is illegal in Pennsylvania because the exhaust must exit the side or rear of the vehicle. I figured **** it, if I get pulled over ill pay the ticket who cares. But last night I had a dream of this idea, and woke up and quickly drew it on paper so I wouldnt forget. Heres a picture I drew quickly on paint so you guys can get an idea.

The left side of the picture is the front of the car. The inside view is if you were laying on the ground looking at the exhaust from the side and being able to see through the pipe. Everything after the exhaust exit is just useless pipe so it looks like theres a full legal exhaust on there. The cat is also on the "useless" end of the exhaust, so you don't have to worry about buying a nice high flow one that costs a lot of money. The way you route the exhaust after the exit point is up to you. Whatever is cheapest is the way to go. Now you would think if someone looked under the car they would spot this but I don't think its possible. My camaro is so low you can't fit a decent size jack under there. All I can see is the side of the pipe, so I don't think you will be able to actually see where the exhaust exits at. This will be going on a 383 stroker. Let me know what you guys think.

I think it might be a little suspicious to see a cat at the back of the car and a muffler at the front.

If you are going to run a fake exhaust system to the back of the car anyway, why not hook it up and make it functional. A high flow cat doesn't cost too much these days.

Re: new exhaust idea

what about on a cold day when the cop see's smoke coming out from under your car instead of behind, And even a small muffler is a lot bigger than a cat so how are you going to get 2 to fit? It is a lot cheaper to do it right once than do it over. You can get a good high flow 3" cat for $60, and the flomaster cat back is what 300? #60 it will all work and be legal. And i would be suprised if you lost 5 hp.
