Sidepipe Topic Readdressed
I know that the subject of putting sidepipes on a thirdgen has been addressed many times before, and there are a number of people that have asked for pictures. After many months of searching, I have rediscovered a picture that I ran across way back when. It is an 83 camaro with the hooker side pipe exhaust system on it. Enjoy!

Sorry about the picture
My fault...can't get the picture to come up. You can just go to this page and view it.

Not bad
Looks pretty nice; the exhaust matches the nice chrome rims... I assume the muffler's integrated into the pipe, but are those the collectors joining up at the front or just a simulation of that old idea of pipes sticking thru the side of the car... Also, I guess the car is cat-delete, which means it prolly won't pass smog. Overall, tho, it looks awesome. I'd do it, but it looks like he's got pretty bad ground clearance.
It is actually a very nice setup, expensive though. I was looking at them at the hooker website and they looked to be quality stuff.

Re: Sidepipe Topic Readdressed
So...six years later any new pictures of side pipe setups? It is a cool look, very 60's 'vette, but the ground clearance looks terrible. I would imagine running a pipe off each header collector, you could even use two small cats to keep it smog legal. What do you think about notching the front fender to get the side pipe up higher, right under the lower sill of the door. Then it wouldn't need to hang much lower than the stock cat location. Thoughts?
