hooker 2055s

has anyone removed the air tubes from the 2055s? if so what was done?

im going to be removing the AIR stuff when i rebuild the engine.

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
Chop flush with the weld bead on top of the tubes. Weld the hole shut. Have them Jet-Hot coated.

why spend the money for 2055's which cost more because they are carb approved and then turn them into hooker 2046? im not sure of the number now that i look at it, but if you look at the hooker site you will see them around that number. you paid extra for carb approved and then cut them up when you could have not bothered with the extra expense.
as to the rest of the car it looks darn fine.

first, i intended to keep the AIR system and wont be now. second, the Y-pipe for the 2055s is priceless compared to all other Y-pipes for our cars. third, i get them from ebay and didnt pay near full $$$.
