Stainless Works Headers & Custom Y-Pipe Pic

Here's a pic of my Hawk's Stainless Works 1-3/4" header's with 3" collector. The headers have been modified to give better clearance around T-56 Slave cylinder. Mainly because I'm running the small Magnaflow spun body cats. Also to give better clearance bewteen the frame rail. The orgininal collectors were cut off and new ones were welded approx 1-1/2" to 2" shorter. Basically where the primaries begin to straighten. The headers were coated by Fireball Coaters and also the XPC coating was used on the inside to further reduce temps and prevent discolouration of the polished finish.

The Y-Pipe is also 3" and tucks up very tight, doesn't hang down any lower than the factory exhaust.

Hey I have the same headers also they're pretty sweet and have great ground clearance to. I would like to know about your coating you put on there, it looks really good in the pic's, whats your overall opinion on it, also what they charge you for it if you dont mind me asking?

Re: Stainless Works Headers & Custom Y-Pipe Pic

The pricing for the ceramic coat is $325 Canadian dollars for s.b.c long tube headers. $100 for the black xpc internal coating which smoothens the inside of the headers and further reduce temps. $25 a foot for ceramic on the x-pipe. They should fit the LT1 motor with T-56. You'll most likey end up having to modify them a little to clear the slave cylinder. Some guys hammer in the collector a little to clear but it would have been way to much in my case. One of the primaries would have almost been completely blocked off. That's why I decided to modify mine.

Here's a link www.fireballcoatings.com

I have another similar thread with pics of the exhaust installed in the car.

what is the purpose of all that spaghetti tubing just to go into a single pipe.
i could see how it might be great if it was true duals, but why bother with all that to go into a single 3 inch pipe?
don't get me wrong, it appears to be well done and thought out, you even used dual cats, nice to see you want to stay legal.
to each his own and i know people will not like my new pipes when i put them on.
yours look very good.

That look Pretty close to the slave cylinder. Is that an L98 with a t-56? I have the same setup...I like the long tube header Idea...But dam that's close to the clutch slave.

Would it be that close with 2-1/2 collectors?
