Headers or No?
Headers or No?
Ok so i have a 92 rs v6, im not sure how large the y pipe is itself, but from the cat ( which is gutted) i have a 2 1/2" pipe running to my muffler, which is a glass pack, and after the glass pack is just a little tip.
Now my question is, if i put headers on my car, will there not be enough back pressure? and is not enough back pressure bad?

If you're not going to replace the Y-pipe at the same time, I wouldn't bother with headers. The factory Y-pipe on my 92 was tiny, about 1.25" on the inside IIRC. It's a double-wall design so you can't just measure the outside to figure out the inside diameter. A 2.5" catback should be just fine if you have a high-flow or hollow cat.

Did you eventually get the headers?
