ok well whenever i rev or hit the gas on my 87 iroc camaro it will make a horrible high pitch like chinging sound that is very loud and does anyone know why its doing it? it also tends after about 2min of warm up it will make lower pitch grind at around 1k rpm for about 2secs. i just got the car fixed for 1500dollars after sitting for 5yrs with gas in the tank but it was running perfect at first then it started doing this. i belive this is a exhuast problem as i only hear this at back of the exhuast.

im thinking but might be wrong do im not a mechanic or even close to 1 but is it possible its just the exhuaust hangers and to loose? they wobble alittle with somepressure. also its a 305tpi/auto

and i will be getting a exhuast for her in the future and what do you guys suggest? i want 1 that has a nice deep but milder sound level exhuast that sounds like a real muscle car's exhuast like a 1st gen camaro, chevelle, nova, trans am you get what i mean i want it to sound like its going rip you apart and is hearable from a lil bit away on idle but is louder on rev's, but still being not to much louder then stock im trying to keep it more of a sleeper iroc and i want it to sound nothing like a ricers thats the last thing i want.

ok unrelated to cars somewhat, anyone know how to get a vid off a sidekick lx 09 and find it on a windows vista gateway laptop? because i have a exhuast clip of the sound that i mean but i cant find the vid and i know it uploaded the pics that were on my phone but im not sure about the video..?

 

Well since you went on about this. One thing to know its not your exhaust have it run. Put on some gloves and hold the exhaust in different areas if it stops then its that if not. The more you keep saying its chatter its almost i bet the flywheel.

 

ok well i tried holding the exhuast and it still did it and i know its more toward the back of the car because everything is fine tell i go by the muffler which i belive might be the problem because i felt the muffler and you could really feel it bouncing sorry but where's the flywheel? lol im new to some of this stuff. thx for you help though

 

Maybe a bearing in one of the serp pulleys?

 

I think he figured it out the muffler had the baffles gone. he had it posted on another thread.
