Header swap?
I currently have coated Hooker 2055 headers on my 355, running to either a 3" cat or a straight pipe, then a Dynomax cat-back and their Ultra Flo race muffler. The rest of the engine consists of a port-matched HSR, 58mm TB, worked-over Trick Flow 23* heads (2.05 intake valves, 5-angle valve job, minor clean-up), LT4 HOT cam, 1.6 roller rockers, 30# injectors, and home-burned chip.
I've thought about going to a set of Dyno Don's headers and Y-pipe, although I don't know how much I'll really gain. I dyno'd at 290 rwhp with the ported-out SLP runners and Edelbrock baseplate, never made it back to the dyno with the HSR. It runs up to 6500 rpm, maxing out the MAF a little over 5000 rpm, seems to peak around 6000 rpm.
Thoughts? I don't have anything else planned for the engine except maybe going to 1.65 rockers for a little more lift. I don't want long-tube headers since emissions are checked here and I've seen in other threads what Dyno Don's headers are capable of.
Thanks,
Greg
