Re: glasspacks?

You don't. It's an Iroc, not a farm truck.

Re: glasspacks?

i like the moroso spiral flow muffler. it has better sound, wont burn out, and is not much more $ than a glasspack.

Re: glasspacks?

I have two of the Spiral Flows on my car now and I am taking them off. I know it has the small tube in the middle that is straight through, but the spiral area doesnt seem like it would flow too well. I'm redoing my whole exhaust from the headers back. I'm ditching the dual with no cross-over for an X-pipe system with Magnaflow straight threw resonators.

i had glasspacks on my 92 base bird, but i took em off so im running straight cats on a single pipe exhaust. sounds like a farm truck once and a while when the idle gets throaty, but otherwise it sounds more muscly and no i am NOT giving the rest of u a bad name. haha

Re: glasspacks?

If you want cheap/loud/good it will require a bit of work on your end. Take a set of cheap Cherry bomb glasspacks, usually 40-50 for the pair. The take a dremel, cut out the colar holding the perforated tube in, then remove the packing.

Cheap SLP loudmouth.

Just for the love of god don't do glasspacks as they are, Ask me how i know...ok, I want to share anyway lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQhVRIyZtHM

Then compare to Thrush welded 2 chamber mufflers for 30 dollars a piece on the same exact motor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyRWfFqCQaE

Both are on a cammed LQ9 truck motor with true duals.
