Header Indentification

Hey I was wondering if any of you guys could help me identify these headers. The guy I got 'em from said he thought they were headmans but couldn't remember for sure. I couldn't find a stamp or anything just the numbers "098 1000".

Re: Header Indentification

Well I've been checking every pic I can find and I may be wrong but they're not looking like headman. Look more like flowtech or the summit brand maybe. Main thing is, I'm needing a y-pipe and I'd rather order one than have to go out of down to have one made.

Re: Header Indentification

I had the same exact issue, headers were cheap enough for me to buy. Headman have "headman" stamped on them....from what I have seen. You prob have flowtech like you suspect and what I have. I do not think there is a y pipe to fit to those. You may have to modify one or have it made at a shop. I have yet to install mine and figure a plan for y pipe.
I would guess these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BI...2FLT/?rtype=10
I have these, the sesor location is higher http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BI...4FLT/?rtype=10
But hey, an improvement over stock manifolds.

Re: Header Indentification

Yeah I'm not looking to break any records, just an improvement. I've got stock 305 TBI manifolds on now so anything's better.

The nearest exhaust shop is about 50-60 miles away so I may just end up running those old stock manifolds for a while. lol

Thanks for the help man.

Re: Header Indentification

The #6 routing suggests Flowtech.

Re: Header Indentification

Anybody know what the 098 1000 #'s are? I've tried running them on every exhaust site I could think of and it's obviously not a part number. I wonder if I could call Flowtech and give them this number for verification.

Re: Header Indentification

Is there any reason this Y-pipe wouldn't fit? I'm assuming these are flowtechs.

Re: Header Indentification

That Y pipe will fit. Those are standard flowtech chevy shorties. They will fit fine and you will not have any clearance issues, though you will want to clean the Y pipe up a bit and the connection area will be too long and need to be trimmed.
