question about Midlength header
question about Midlength header
just wondering if the midlegnth header are as difficult to install as the long tubes. or should I just stick with shorties. I have an lo3 I'm trying to get up and running for the summer but I will be dropping a new motor in later and whatever upgrade I buy now I will be using later.
problem is I'm not mechanically inclined and I will lose interest in anything that is to difficult.

that's the header I'm looking at
with a pacesetter tfx 86-2816 cat back:

haven't decided on a cat yet. recommendation would help on that plus anything else.

Re: question about Midlength header
the header you posted is listed as a full length, which is wrong by the pic. The pic is of shorties, and AFAIK, nobody makes a mid length for these cars.
look into a set of shorties, hooker 2055's or the ones DynoDon here on TGO makes, are the two best out there. Dons being the only properly fitting 1.75" primary ones around, notthe cheapest, but great headers.

Re: question about Midlength header
yea, summits search is a bit screwy at times. Shorties always fit better and tuck up better than the LT's do. Less headaches as long as you buy good ones, like i listed.
you never mentioned what these were going on engine wise

Re: question about Midlength header
Go short tube headmen makes a good set with ball flange mounts fit like stock. I put my old shortys in from the top
long tubes (new set) were a pain in the a** but the headmen don't have air tubes
