Flanged turndowns? Where to get em?
I was planning to do my exhaust system but I am still not 100% if I am keeping my 350 L05 or maybe swapping for an LT1. So for right now I want to keep the exhaust on hold. The thing is I really do not want to just leave the headers open and to atleast test drive it before snow comes, I would like to run turndowns right after the headers. They are Hedman 68460 and are a ball and socket type. Jegs has em but they are not specified and just say flanged.
I was also thinking of getting the driver side turndown to drill a hole and have a o2 bung welded on. I originially planned to run the reducer from Hedman that has the o2 bung pre-welded but then that will require just purchasing one flanged turndown for the passenger and from what I see they come in pairs.
Any ideas?

if your gonna drive the car on a daily basis, i'd go with turn downs right before the rear bumper, or at least a side exit, right at the headers is not only gonna be ungodly loud (inside especially), but it will vibrate everything.

Re: Flanged turndowns? Where to get em?
Like I said, I have not yet decided if I am keeping my motor so doing the exhaust work now would be a waste or atleast I should wait on it. I want to basically just have flanged turndowns right after the headers to atleast drive it around the area since I want to test out my 9 bolt and make sure everything is working right.
My other choice is making a cheap system. Basically using Hedmans S bends into an H pipe and some sort of good but inexpensive mufflers, any ideas? I would love Borlas and I will probably get them with what ever setup I decide on but $160 for em is gonna be too much for me right now. The good thing about making this choice is well If I decide to stay with the 350 that im already set if not, its gonna make a good gift for a friend since hes getting Hedmans 68460's installed as well.
Would it really be that loud on a basically stock L05 5.7 350? I know in my garage it is loud but when it warms up idle is fine which is what I am worried about mostly. Revving it makes it sound like any other Suburban that drives around here with stock exhaust and bullet mufflers. I figured it should be fine to use for a quick test drive to stretch its legs but then again $50 for em is kinda a bit much since just the S bends and H pipe would be only $35-40 more and then just require inexpensive mufflers to finish it off.
