hmm picking a cat

Hey guys, I have a 1991 Trans Am LB9 which came with the crappy 2 1/4 (or 1/2?) inch exhaust, including the cat. I have a 3" Magnaflow catback on it now, and I've been wanting to upgrade to Hooker 2055 headers to wake the car up. For my year, I know I'll need a bigger 3" catalytic converter to get it to bolt together. That's basically all I need right? The 2055s come with the y-pipe as we all know so I guess that all I have left is finding the right cat, correct? Any bolt-in deals you guys would recommend that flow well and have a good rep in terms of passing emissions? The idea is to have 3" throughout. Couldn't find much with a search.

Put your info in on Summit's website, they make it real easy to find the right part for your application. I am using a Magnaflow/Carsound cat. Mine is slip fit on both ends, sounds like your want slip fit on the y-pipe side, and bolt up on the catback side. Either way, just look around until you find the one you want.

Re: hmm picking a cat

Thanks! I was just a bit unsure about what to begin looking for. Anyway, with 3" diameters and stock mounting, Summit is showing me this Catco unit:

I've never heard of that company; would you say they're reputable with better flow than stock?
