88 firebird hooker headers 305tbi
Hey new here. Got a 88 Firebird ws6 with a 305 fbi with a/c and auto trans. Want to swap in the hooked headers with y pipe 2055. Already have custom catback with highflow cat. Question, can the headers be installed in roughly a day?with what modifications? Any special tools required? I know I need 90* plug wires.
And I've read all the stickies on it. Just filled with a lot of information and all the useful info is covered by useless chatter.
Oh an im fairly mechanically inclined. Done a few engine rebuilds etc but my first v8. Thanks

Should be able to get them in a day without any hiccups if you have decent mechanical knowledge

Cool man. Good luck with that. Oh and if you wanna see some Firebirds and camaro's check out the Northern California Section on this site. Thier is a thread entitled June GTG. We are doing a track day. Would love to see as many third gen aficionado's there as possible. Thanks.

Passenger side slides right in, for the drivers side you need to slightly lift up the engine. If you do, make sure to loosen the steel lines going to the radiator first.
Best to do the lifting with a helping hand, checking that nothing interferes when lifting the engine. Only need to lift it a little (or tilt it to one side while moving in the header)
I do think the stickies did mention this as well however.
