Headers for my tpi
I have a 305 tpi and am looking to put headers on it. Do I have to use shorty headers? I was also wondering about the pollution crap that comes off the stock exhaust manifold. Will the silver tubes go onto the aftermarket headers? Or can I just not put them back on? All help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You obviously do not have to use shorty's, there are long tubes (usually preferred, but more difficult to install), and mid-length headers available depending on what your goals are for the 305.
Use the search button, and stickies for good Header info.

Don't forget to order headers with an o2 sensor bung already welded in, or buy the bung and weld it in yourself.
Also figure in you will need a y-pipe to fit the shorty's, or long tubes, whichever you choose.

Power is depending on other bolt ons that may be on the motor, and its up to you if its worth it. I can tell you from experience in multiple installs that it is a p.i.t.a....
A no option L03 is the easiest to install, and a LB9/L98 TPI (With A/C) is a another thing.
It will take you a solid afternoon is my keyboard estimate if it ALL goes well.
