I like the GMMG Since they are out of business now you can purchase it directly from the origional maker at www.madhammer.com for alot cheaper then GMMG was selling them for.

Re: Best sounding exhaust from the CAT to the back
I have pretty much have heard every catback and hands down Gmmg leaves a tone you will always remember and hardly hear going down the road.
Magnaflow is to me the best budget catback out there. Sound is good, fitment and quality overall. Flowmaster is all over and sounds ok but nothing special and I would only go with it if I had a extremely small budget.
To me the top 5 are Gmmg, Mufflex, Corsa, Borla and Magnaflow.
BUT everyone has their taste. Just go on youtube and hear away and pick. Go to local gatherings and see what people have on their cars and make your choice from there.

I have a 3" Gale Banks exhaust and receive alot of compliments on the sound. I am not sure if it's still available though as I bought mine about 7 years ago.

Yeah seems the Gale Banks is or was not a popular choice.
My headers are Hooker 2055. Air Tubes grinded off and welded. Then smoothed out and sent out for Jet Hot coating. Y pipe also coated.
For the Gale Banks I got the polished tips. Funny thing is last night I hit a cruise night and was complimented on the sound and overall look of the exhaust. I'll take some pics of the exhaust and post.

Re: Best sounding exhaust from the CAT to the back
i have hedman longtube headers, custom 3 inch y pipe with gutted cat and 3 inch flowmaster 80 series catback with 3.5 tips... i have not personally heard another thirdgen that sounds as good as my car... car sounds really mean and aggressive while driving and revving.... also a built up engine helps enhance the sound alot also.. so a stock motor with exhuast isnt going to sound near as good compared to a built up motor with higher stall gears etc....

Re: Best sounding exhaust from the CAT to the back
decided to try obx stainless cat back for my 91 rs. evrything went on pretty easy with the addition of a couple universal hangers.. sounds real good. no rasp just a deep rumble with great tone. its a shame this system is on a nearly stock 305.

GMMG website is still up and you can place orders. You sure they are out of business?
