I've checked with all my local muffler shops and NO ONE can bend or build a custom 3" y-pipe. Does anyone on here make a y-pipe for there setup? I'm going to be running Hooker 2460HKR shorty headers with a 3" Magnaflow cat and exhaust system. I'd pay someone to make me a y-pipe if someone can bend and weld.

If you have tools and a crap welder it should be easy enough to order piping, fit, cut, and tack it and take it to a shop to have it finished. That's what I did to get my Mufflex setup to fit correctly. Else try contacting the local auto service places they might be able to make you one. I would shy away from anyplace wanting to do normal kink type bends.

I'm pretty sure either straightline performance or finish line performance does mandrel bends.. both those shops are out Joliet way...
If you have a friend with a welder making a y pipe is pretty easy...
I fabbed one earlier this year a true 3 inch to 4 inch for my formula all I did was buy bends from summit and tinker toy it together...

I think a 3 inch y pipe maybe a little overkill. You should look at one of Dyno Don's 2.5 inch y pipe. Best one on the market, I have one on my car, fits and works great

you may lose some torque when going to a 3 inch y pipe. May be to much for your combo.

3" won't even fit without hanging lower than the X member by a considerable amount, 2.75 is the largest you will be able to snake in front of the pan. 3" collectors to short 3" sections necking down to 2.75:

I thought hedman sold a 3" ypipe seperately? I know hooker has one with the 2055's but I dont think they sell seperately and dont think it works with the 2460's.
3" single is perfect for a bolt on L98 or mild cammed setup up to 330whp or so. After that you should try 3.5" up to 400whp. 4" at 400 and higher.

Either way it's better than the factory cast manifolds. According to Car Craft factory inner diameter of passenger manifold was 1.550"!

Your pipes are considerably lower than the x member so still true That picture is deceptive if it's 3/4 of an inch that's a lot... And as everyone with a thirdgen knows having a good exhaust on one of these cars means sacrificing ground clearance somewhere there is really no way around it..

Yea i've been planning on that for a while.. I actually have been sitting on a bbs manifold for a while but lack the funds to even get my car back on the street right now let alone buy a turbo and associated parts
