Not really a fan of the thumpr cams... they're designed to sound good as opposed to functioning well. Comp has all this marketing jibberish about how they're just innovative etc but Im more of a traditionalist I guess. We'll never know til soemone tries a thumpr cam and then an equivalent proper street/strip cam to see which is faster.

Re: First Start-up Vid
True story. I was having this conversation with another guy. They are supposed to be made for street/strip use having in mind a car to drive around town. The power on the low end is poor but once i hit 3 grand the thing takes off. Sounds like just a strip cam to me. I wanna do a comparison test probably next summer. Hopefully I can put up some facts so we actually know what were talking about with these cams.

Yeah I really like it. Big tip though, if you get one make sure you budget for a torque converter in your build. Runs really rough without a decent stall converter. Once the converter was installed she runs like a dream.

Re: First Start-up Vid
Its only a plush exhaust. Basically a cheap flowmaster. I had a borla system I purchased and went to put on but my exhaust guy talked me out of it and all he had in stock was this plush system so I went with that. I will probably change it up soon. I haven't found any REAL good sounding systems yet though. Have any ideas on something that sounds real good? I flowmaster and magnaflow seem to crackle too much for my liking on our cars.
