Alright guys, my ignorant *** has been asking exhaust questions for the past week now. I've decided to go with 1 5/8" headers with a 3 in collector. I've decided to go with a 3 in Y-pipe and back into a new muffler with the stock turn downs. Question: what is the stock Y-pipe's diameter, and should I go with shorties or long tubes? I have a 92 L98. This is the last question on exhaust for me, sorry if anyone's been getting irritated.

 

The stock Y pipe doesn't matter, you're going to throw it in the trash when you put headers on.

Long tubes aren't worth the trouble on a street car, stick with shortys.
