stainless works 3"
i just bought a 3" in/out cr33 3 chambered muffler.. i have a stock 305 and id like to mod it or drop in a tuned port 350 but what im wondering is... should i return the muffler and go with a 2.5 inch pipe? or should i stay 3"?. will the 3" hurt my car in its current set up? currently my car is stock and my exhaust ends at the back seat. i was going to put the muffler in place of the pipe that runs straight just before it bends up over the axle. and have it split into 2 pipes over the axle and out either under the bumper or out behind the back tires.. i want to do this smart and not ruin/hurt anything in terms of power and efficiency. pardon my spelling if any of the words above are not spelled correctly.

you will be fine man. three inch is perfect for a single pipe exhaust. these cars are so choked up from the factory. just remember more air out means you want more going in!!! good luck
