What do u think of this setup??
So I want to put my hooker 2055's on my stock LG4 engine but I have a problem and that's im a tight budget...all I have is $500.......so I was thinking of doing straight pipes and adding my flowmaster 10 with the headers....any idea if that will sound any good, or
plan B...install the headers and just weld on a universal 3" magnaflow cat with the flowmaster 10 series....??
plan c- headers with just the magnaflow 3" cat...no muffler...

I say go with plan B. Since you're in CA, they might not allow you to go the other options with strict emissions.

I'm not understanding the problem,
But let me give my opinion(and remember that's all it is)
You already have your headers,
$300-350 will buy you a good cat back(magnaflow, Mac, ect.)
$100 or less will buy you a cat
Bolt it together and go,
Unless I'm not understanding your question
If I were to choose any of your 3 options it would also be plan B

I currently have Long tube headers straight pipe duels (no cats) w/ 40 series Flowmasters turning down right b4 the rear end.. Its pretty loud but not crazy loud. Get looked @ alot but i like to think its the car.. lol
I hate the ground clearance though.. You know Cali street/hwy's suck a**.. Dips and pot holes everywhere. lol
Good luck..

If you don't already have the headers, you're going to have a hard time getting all of that together and installed for under $500. that said, Your plan B is the one you want.

Plan B is probably your best bet. I think you'd be better off and maybe even happier saving up for a full exhaust though. I'm assuming with plan b you're going to have a y pipe? The 10 series with just a turn down or whatever you want to do is going to be LOUD, as you probably already know. In my opinion, because of all of the droning that is going to happen inside your car, it's going to be too loud. You can even find a used cat back on here or another site alike for cheap. I paid under $200 for a full 3 inch exhaust, headers all the way back, in great condition from another member on here. That's just my opinion though, if you can deal with the loud all of the time then do it!
