Well if you are going to get headers, than get a y-pipe that is meant for the headers.

+ 1000

The stock manifold flanges are a lot higher than aftermarket headers, not to mention in different locations, and the last thing you want is to be under the car cutting the flanges off of the Y-Pipe, raising the Y-Pipe in place, then rewelding it all back together. Been there done that, and its a pain in the freaking azz. Even if you go to a muffler shop, expect to give them a couple of hundred dollars to do it for you. Like Joe said, get a Y-Pipe that is meant for it...

I think for $250 you can buy headers AND a yipe.

Look at hedman.

I have a dual cat y-pipe if you need one, was going to use it for a twin turbo setup. The A.I.R. from the cats were cut just before it reaches the engine, so the line needs to be corrected, or simply removed if your not running a smog pump. Stock exhaust manifolds clean up easy, I would port them out if you are going to keep them, they will flow fine...

Yes. Stock manifolds with A.I.R., and no cats.
