Coated header really work?
I have a 1993 GMC SOnoma that has a 5.7L TPI shoe horned into it. As you can imagine, underhood temperatures are a killer. I've read that ceramic coated header are suppose too help keep underhood temperatures down.
Is this true, and can it cause a hot spot where the headers join with the uncoated exhaust?
Thanks guys
Josh

Well worth it. It keeps the heat in the headers. Once you shut the engine off with in 10min or so You can grab a heater.
Just make sure whoever does them for you does INSIDE and out.
