Exhaust Cross Over Pipe Removal ?
Kinda having a problem trying to get these nuts off of the studs next to both manifolds. the threads are extremely rusted and are making this a pain. i've tryed penetrating oil on it in the last 4 days. I started the car till it reach tempeture to get it hot and even put candlewax on it. but this sht dont budge.. I dont know if ya'll got any ideas. if you do please share, that would be a big help

The trick here is to get the nuts glowing orange hot with a torch, and they will come off easily. Exhaust heat won't do it.

You might be able to do it with the Benz-o-manic if you get a cylinder of mapp gas for it. It will be the yellow cylinder not the blue propane one. The mapp gas burns hotter than propane.

damn yall. i got 2 off and 2 snapped on me. what do i do now.. cause you know if i try taking the exhaust manifold off am sure those bolts are gona be a bch 2

Pop the manifolds off and take em to a muffler shop and get em to put new studs in.
Then when you put it back together, use a little copper anti-seize and stainless steel nuts.

Taking the manifolds off can be a major paint in the behind, the french locks will all be rusted, the nuts probably ruste to the studs so you will tear up the heat shields with the stuf spinning... major PITA!!
