Hooker 2055 shorty's for RHD
Wondering if anyone is running headers on a RHD converted Third Gen??
I was looking at the Hooker 2055's. Pretty safe to say the L/H side will drop in easy as there is plenty of room. R/H side less room to start of with as the engine is slightly offset this way and to top that of the steering shaft runs right along the chassis/body rail. I think I'm safe with the booster and brake master.
One thought was to play around with engine mounts and shift the motor back toward the middle of the car to give extra room. Or grind modify one or more tubes on that side to fit better.
Anyone done this before? If not I'm going to attempt it anyways..

Re: Hooker 2055 shorty's for RHD
I did a large amount of research on this last year. Basically, there is no way the Hookers are going to fit without major mods, pretty much re-building the rhs header from scratch. Same goes for the 2460's, Hedmans, Edelbrocks, Dyno Dons etc.
Sadly, the only option are the much maligned Flowtech 1.5/2.5 shorties, and they will still require minor modification. You may also have to replace the steering shaft with a Jeep shaft - smaller. I was forced to accept this reality and bought a set of stainless Chinese knock-off on Ebay.
Here's my thread on the subject, there are several others if you search:

Thanks mate, will look into it. Looks like hard work to get anything to fit.

Let us know if you come to any different conclusions, I'd love to be proven wrong. I wasn't prepared to spend $7-800 importing a set of 2055's just to rip them up, and I've got zero skills for this kind of welding anyway. Maybe you do?
