Just bought a '92 RS v6. It is super clean w/only 77k on it. I didn't get a close look at it until I got her home but she's got dual exhaust. Does anyone know if the v6's came with a dual exhaust option? I didn't think they did and everything else on this car is stock (right down to the cassette player). I got a look underneath it tonight and I can't tell. Just wondering if it was a add on or possibly original.

 

I don't think any 3rd gen came with a full dual exhaust. The down pipes connect to a single pipe that goes over the axle. V6 has single tail pipe V8 twin tail pipes. If you mean it's dual all the way it's custom.

Just about every aftermarket exhaust available for a thirdgen, including the ones for V6 cars, have a crossflow muffler that has 2 tailpipes, one on each side. I'm sure that's what you've got. If you get under the car, you'll find a single intermediate pipe that runs up over the axle into the muffler, and then 2 tailpipes out of the muffler.

but if by some crazy chance it does have a true dual exhaust I'm sure a ton of people around here would be curious what it sounds like on a V6...
