hooker aero chamber?
hooker aero chamber?
Hey guys, I'm looking into putting a hooker aero chamber muffler on my 88 Iroc z. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that currently has that setup on their car and what they think about it.
I'm looking for something that sounds nice but not too loud and I think this would be a nice start for that setup. What else would you guys and gals recommend to add to the exhaust with the aero chamber muffler?
Thank you in advance!

I have the entire cat-back system that comes with that muffler type.
Fits great, a little loud to my taste but not unbearable like a Blowmaster; overall, I recommend it.

I have the whole catback system as well. I really like the sound. Very natural sound if that makes any sense. No droning or resonating sound. Thumbs up.
I have headers and hiflow cat too, so i can't say how loud it'd be on a stock system.

Alright sweet i do appreciate that, thank you!
Now would you recommend going on ahead and doing the headers and the full set up while im at it? Would that improve the performance by much?

I think headers are going to have the biggest impact on how it sounds. I've had a lot of mufflers and systems on my car but the long tubes I think gave all of them a really wicked sound.
I have a straight through 3.5" aerochamber on my car now:
