2 Bolt Flange?

I just got a new cat back exhaust system from dynomax. it was the dynomax ultra flows. it came with a 2 bolt round flange but my car comes stock with a 4 bolt square flange. This means i can not bolt those two flange brackets together. does anyone have and ideal on what i could do and to solve my problem. thanks

Re: 2 Bolt Flange?

I believe you may be mistaken. I apologize if I'm wrong. The 4 bot flange on the outlet of the catalytic converter is correct, and one if not both sets may line up with the two of the cat-back exhaust pipe from Dynomax.

A picture of my 4 bolt #93441 Magnaflow Direct-fit Catalytic Converter bolted to my #16829 Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust.

Hope this helps.

Re: 2 Bolt Flange?

My 4 bolt flange has a bolt in each corner. i don't see how the two bolt flange would hook up with the 4 bolt one unless it bolted up with the two corner bolts. i will post a picture tomorrow to give you guys a better look at what i'm dealing with.

Correct, it will use two adjacent bolt holes to line it up, but as you can see from my picture, you can get the 4bolt flange to be parallel with the ground. It's the 2bolt flange on the cat-back that will be angled. No leaks.

Here are the pics. i see how you would use the adjacent bolts on the 4 bolt flange, but to me the two adjacent bolts look way farther apart then the span of the two bolts on the 2 bolt flange. do they just look father apart then what they really are. should the two flanges line up. if not what can i do to fix this.

Re: 2 Bolt Flange?

You need to get a 4-bolt flange and weld it to your catback pipe.
The 4-bolt is flat, the 2-bolt is a ball & socket arrangement.
