Will i notice a sound or performance change?
I think i've posted this before, but i dont remember. I currently have the stock cat but am running no muffler. The sound is nice right now but i've discovered a small hole starting to form in the piping. I'm thinking of replacing this come january or when i get more cash. My question is if i go to a nice hooker cat back or something along those lines, will the sound change drastically? same goes for performance. Any opinions are welcomed

well i got the hooker cat-back a couple months ago
i really like the sound of it
i think it sounds like a new LS1 camaro or trans am
but every once in a while i unbolt my muffler so its straight piped
i personally like the rumble of the 3" straight pipe
but then when i wanna make it not as loud i just bolt the muffler back on
as for performance
well when i went to the hooker cat-back i felt a lil bit of a difference....but when i took of my muffler i could feel it even more in the upper RPM's
good luck
with your exhaust
p.s. it takes a couple days for the hooker cat-back to break in and sound good....it will sound like your stock exhaust at first (when it had the muffler), but it will get better!
