A.I.R. Pump?????

So I took of my A.I.R. system today and the pump is filled with rusty water and the inside of the hoses are rust colored. Found this all to be alittle strange. Is this normal?

Re: A.I.R. Pump?????

If the pulley still turns, and it doesn't make growling or screeching noises, I don't think I'd let it bother me too much. I'd probably check that the one-way valves going into the manifolds and down to the cat still only flow one way, so that the exhaust isn't flowing back into the AIR system. But really, it's not an essential part of the car. As long as it's not making terrible noises, or smoking the belt, I'd most likely just ignore it.

It's off the car I'm putting headers on it so the AIR system has been removed so I can put them on. Just stumbled across that and found it strange. Just was curious if this is happens often or mot
