Sound Clips of my Hooker cat-back!!!

Hopefully this works. I don't know much about posting sound clips, so if anyone knows a better please let me know. I'm not sure but it make take a minute for the page to load properly, but the sounds are looped so they should load and play at once. You also might have to copy and paste the urls. Also, sorry for the exhaust rattle on the rev clip, there is some flange on my headers that when I rev makes a crappy rattle sound. But anyways, hope it works. Also this is with a Napa catalytic converter.

It worked earlier, geesh, let me see how to fix it. I just tried it, doesn't work but if you click the back button, it took me right to it.

I ordered the cheapest one from Jegs, $200 and had it welded on. I didn't take the rpms above 4k.

That cat I bought new when I got the cat-back. Bought it from Napa, so I doubt it's a hi-flo one and it is functional except the AIR tube. I believe the shop welded on a piece of pipe for it to fit to my y-pipe.

I must say that sounds really good. I havent heard a hooker cat-back sound clip that sounds like that They always sound like its gurgaling But It must just be the microphone. Yours sounds really good. It sounds almost like my friends 2001 Cobra he has Borla Xr-1 Race mufflers. It sounds really similar. But again it sounds really good.

I just asked summit to give me a quatation for the same hooker cat-back. $250 cat-back + $140 S/H. Almost $400!!! A bit pricey I'm gonna have to think it over again... But I really want it..

WHAT???? I thought they only charge $6.95 for shipping. Plus they don't even list the Hooker in the catalog, but I've heard they sell it. Go to www.jegs.com . Only costed me $213 with shipping. Of course I got the cheapest one and had it welded on. But still you shouldn't have to pay that much shipping.

i have had my own problems with geo****IES they have some kind of flow control over your web page and bandwidth ... they only allow a certain ammount of people visit the site and then it give you the error. anyone know a nice free public file hoster?

also: Mark,
Only costed me $213 with shipping
after you got it in the mail, how much was it for the muffler people to weld it together, and installed on the car?

It costed me $160, which is way over priced, but I had to have it done that day because of emissions, the guy quoted it at $100 at first, but he was an @ss, he was like I don't feel like doing this today.

Just heard them. I will say that it is nice but I still like Flowmaster better. This is probably the 2nd best sounding exhaust system I've heard on a street car.

Thats the Aero-Chamber cat-back? Sounds nothing like my 3" Hooker Cat-back. Mines a lot deeper and when you rev it the whole neighboor hood wakes up (with stock engine and manifolds) In a month (I hope) my car should be done so I'll make high quality sound clips of it with my Hedman long tubes and 3" duals using the Aero-Chamber mufflers.

Oh yeah ...Direct links to the sounds:

Well, I do have a stock replacement cat on there, maybe that's hurting it, but I'm happy with it.
