quietest system plus performance

I need an exhaust system that is quit at idle and low rpm's and as you give the engine more gas the exhaust rumbles but I am also looking for performance.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
dynomax.

it's about half the cost of the edelbrock system.

i like the way mine sounds. it's got a low, deep rumble at idle. it's not loud, but you can hear it from about 1/2 block coming toward ya, and about 1 block away while it's leaving.

I listen to mine all the time when my wife leaves with it. and she don't ever tromp on it. i just like the sound that much

(You know you've all ran to the door, or stood in the driveway to listen to your car when somone else is driving it. ADMIT IT!!!!!!! whether it's the stereo, exhaust, or just to stare at the beautifull thing. IMO, Anyone who doesn't isn't a real 'car guy'.)

but when you do tromp on it, it lets all who are around you know you mean business, without being anoying or too loud.

AJ

I don't and I'm a real car guy. But it's actually because I don't let anyone drive my car.

Actually, I have yet to do such a thing. My wife says she can hear my car almost a block away and loves the way it sounds. She will drive it alot harder than I normally do.

I guess I gotta do this

Try a Walker Quiet Flow muffler. High performance and fairly quiet sound, except when you get your foot into it

I too have the walker quiet flow in an attempt to quiet my exhaust. As loud as the dynomax, only difference is the 2 1/4 tailpipe exits. Brand new, the dynomax system seemed quieter for some reason. I was thinking of pace setter slash cut resonator tips to quiet the exhaust down even more. I am trying for the ultimate sleeper.

Thanks for all the input. I am looking for a system that makes my car a sleeper also. Do not want them to know until I hit the gas hard.

hm. sounds like you need to keep your stock exhaust and get in on the mccord power plate gp.
