Removing AC compressor
Does removing my AC compressor affect any smog components? Where is the smog pump located?
I just want to remove the AC compressor but I don't want to make passing smog an issue in October. I'm in California.
Cheers!

For my 1988 Trans Am the air pump was located on the passenger side of the engine just above and to the right of the water pump. The compressor is up even higher and further to the left (toward the wheel wheel). I removed my air pump and replaced with a delete pulley.

Re: Removing AC compressor
Mine is v belts so I just cut the belt to the compressor. The compressor itself is bloody hard to move, maybe I am not doing it right.
